Girl Scout Council of Southwestern
Connecticut
is now Girl Scouts of Connecticut!
On October 1, the Girl Scout Council of Southwestern
Connecticut joined with the other four councils in Connecticut
to form Girl Scouts of Connecticut, an empowering force for
personal growth and leadership development in over 55,000
girl and 21,000 adult members across the state.
The legacy Girl Scout Council of Southwestern
Connecticut headquarters and Service Center at 529 Danbury
Road in Wilton is now called the Wilton Service Center and
actively continues to serve its girls and adult members and
volunteers. Membership staff is there to answer questions
or help direct inquiries to other departments. The store is
open as usual and featuring uniform components and other Girl
Scout materials and books to help Leaders and girls participate
fully in the often life-changing Girl Scout experience.
All current programs, trainings, events, forms,
and other pertinent pieces of Girl Scout information are listed
now on www.gsofct.org,
the website for Girl Scouts of Connecticut, although many
other necessary forms and documents are in the process of
being adapted to apply across the state. We hope you will
understand that we are working as hard as possible to complete
the transition and provide you with the materials you need.
Meanwhile, all registrations for programs or trainings should
be directed to the Girl Scouts of Connecticut Registration
Department. You may register online through www.gsofct.org,
or fax or mail registrations to the North Haven Service Center
(20 Washington Avenue, North Haven, CT 06473) and call 1-800-922-2770
with questions.
This www.gscswct.org
website will be shutting down as of Wednesday November 14,
2007, so most of the program information you see on this site
is out of date. Please let dfraser@gsofct.org
know if there is something you especially need from this site
to be carried over to the new state site.
Welcome to Girl Scouts of Connecticut! Our programs
and events, camps and program centers, trainings, fundraising
opportunities, and other resources are more varied than ever.
The need for volunteers is also greater than before. We hope
we'll continue to work together through the new council for
the good of our girls, their families, schools, communities,
and the world around us!
If you're new to Girl Scouting, join us and
discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together.
Support the organization that helps girls develop the skills,
courage, confidence, and character to face life's challenges
with optimism, strength, and success.
